Weren't You the Queen, And I Your King (Mythship × Yuugi AU)
CW: Incest
[The Ceremonial Duel...
The day Yuugi and the Pharaoh were to part. Atem returned home to the Afterlife, and Yuugi... was left to continue living.
He was a stronger person now, really! Losing a part of him that was always there for three straight years? It was fine. It was what Atem wanted, so it was fine.
He said forever.
But he just wanted to go home.
It was fine.
It was fine.
Yuugi couldn't bring himself to return home with the others... and so here he was, sitting in the Ishtars' guest room, trying not to let them see him crying in bed with his face buried in the pillow.
It was fine.
It was fine.
Everything was fine.
The Ishtars were so good to him: Marik was a ball of life and energy, and Ishizu... she made him feel safe. Comforted.
That was why he couldn't let them see him cry. They couldn't let them see just how much the Pharaoh's passing had affected him.
He promised.
He promised him...a lot of things. Atem spoke kindly and told Yuugi he was all he needed. He talked about what they'd do together when he got his memories back: where they'd go, what they'd do...
How he loved him.
How he never wanted to be without him...
Was...
Was that a lie...?]

This feels so good... The question is, will Marik be on board for this...? She wants them both, after all, and being able to love and pamper the two of them would be wonderful...]

Guilt.
Guilt floods his stomach.]
Ishizu...wh-what about Marik...?
[It was obvious the two of them wanted each other, and Yuugi didn't...he didn't...]
It wouldn't be f-fair...to kiss me and then not...kiss him, right...?
no subject
[Her cheeks color and she glances off to the side.]
... But the modern world frowns upon that...
[She isn't denying it though.]
no subject
[Like. They literally were brought up in a cave.]
And...Um.
[He bites his lip.]
If it helps...I...want to kiss him, too. S-so if anyone asks, it'd be like you both are with me, instead of, you know...each other...?
[Guilt. Guilt, guilt, guilt. Push it away. Push it down. Push it away.]
no subject
And was her attraction that obvious...?]
... What if he does not feel the same way?
no subject
[He smiles, soft and encouraging.]
When you two sit close, he gets so embarrassed and shy. I've been having fun watching you two. You're cute.
[He pauses.]
If...anything else...you two should at least confess to each other. Don't...worry about me, or anything. I...I at least want the two of you to be happy.
no subject
She smiles shyly and gives Yuugi another kiss on the lips.]
... What if we both confess...?
[Because the three of them together feels so natural. And Yuugi deserves to be happy.]
1/?
[Yuugi's face could only grow pinker.
Confessing...Confessing his feelings...
Because the truth was: he did have feelings for both of them. It wasn't the same that he felt for Atem, but they were feelings. He could have left Egypt a long time ago, could have...could have decided not to stay.
But as the days went by, the weeks went by...
He started to see this place more as his home than Japan. He looked forward to seeing the siblings every morning, and sometimes yearned to give them a hug good night, hugging himself instead to ease the ache.
The guilt.
He still loved Atem. He always would. Was it okay for him to...?]
2/?
Yuugi's eyes widen. His heart races.
He knows...
He knows that touch.]
3/?
Yuugi feels something against his cheek, like cool air pressing against it and moving past.
It was the same feeling when Atem would press his spiritual hand to his face and try to wipe the tears away.
"Partner, it's okay."
Yuugi's eyes grow distant for a moment, as though he's looking past Ishizu, towards something else. He can't see Atem, and yet...
Tears well in his eyes.]
A-Atem...?
4/5
Something cold presses against Yuugi's lips.
A kiss.
A lingering, gentle kiss that Yuugi returns, eyes closed and lips parted.
A weight lifts itself from his heart, as though Atem was picking it up and carrying it away.
After a few moments, the cold feeling disappears, and words play in his heart:
"Go get him, partner. I believe in you."
When Yuugi opens his eyes, he's crying, but they're not sad tears.
They're happy ones.]

When he first begins to cry, Ishizu's heart aches. Did she cause that? What if she pressured him...?
But as his expression shifts and he says yes, she feels a bit of relief. Still, she should check... That's the least she can do considering she's been... hungry for both of them.]
Are you certain, Yuugi...? I apologize for... asking you to do something you are not ready for...
no subject
[He laughs.]
I just needed...a little bit of divine intervention, I think.
no subject
[Atem. It must have been him.
Thank you, Pharaoh...
She looks to Marik.]
... How... should we awaken him...?
no subject
Follow my lead.
[He shifts and sits on his knees in front of Marik, and motions to Ishizu to join him.]
We'll kiss his cheeks on three.
Ready?
no subject
Marik stirrs but only a little.]
Ready.
no subject
But in a good way.]
One...
[He moves forward.]
Two...
[He moves just a bit closer. His lips are very close to Marik's now.]
Three.
[And then, gently, so gently, he presses a sweet little kiss to Marik's cheek.]
no subject
Marik's eyes flutter open and he blinks, turning his head slightly to see... both Yuugi and Ishizu hovering near his cheeks.
Which are turning red.]
A-Ahh... Did we... fall asleep?
no subject
Mm-hmm. You...looked cute like that, but we figured it was time for you to get up.
[A light poke. A light prod to see if...if he was okay with this. With him...
He turns to Ishizu with a playful wink.]
Right, Ishizu?
no subject
C-Cute? Wha...
[Ishizu's cheeks turn pink but she remains close to Marik.]
W-Well...! I'm up now so... what should we do?
no subject
Marik was like a little cat.
Yuugi swallows.]
W-well...Ishizu and I...ah. We wanted to...um.
[His eyes flick to Ishizu's as his courage waned, before girding himself.]
Marik, I...
no subject
Ishizu looks to Yuugi and nods her head.]
You want to... what?
no subject
[He could do this. He could do this...]
We really really like you! And we want to kiss you!
no subject
You already did...?
[Ishizu lets out a sigh.]
Brother, we both... have feelings for you. As in... we are... romantically interested in... you.
[Her face is entirely red. And as it dawns on Marik what Yuugi meant with his sister's explanation, he stares slackjawed and red as well.]
Y... You... But...
